What We Believe

  1. The scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments are verbally inspired, the product of holy men of old who spoken and wrote as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.  (II Peter 1:21)

  1. God has revealed Himself as a triune being, but manifested in three personalities as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  (Luke 3:22, Matthew 28:19)

  1. The Lord Jesus Christ the eternal Son of God, is divine, and shares in the Deity of God as the second person in the Godhead. ( Matthew 1:21, John 5:22)  We believe in His virgin birth, His sinless life, in His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, His bodily resurrection, in His personal return in power and glory.

  2. Man is a created being, made in the likeness and image of God. (Genesis 1:26,27)

  1. Man's only hope of redemption from the stain of sin is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.  (Luke 24:47)  That salvation of the lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for rebirth.

  1. The true Church is the Body of Christ, (I Cor. 12:12-27), not intended to be the edifice or institution, but the habitation of God through the Holy Spirit.

  1. The ordinances of the Church are:

                  a. Baptism in water

                  b. Holy Communion or the Lord's Supper

  1. The Mission of the Church is:

                  a.   to be an agency for evangelizing the world (Acts 1:8)

                  b.   to be a corporate body in which man may worship God (I Cor. 12:13)

                  c.   to be a channel of God's purpose to build a body believers being

perfected in the image of His Son.   (Eph. 4:11-16)

  1. We believe that God calls whom He desires, both male and female, to serve in the fivefold ministry and qualifies ones who are called with power, wisdom, gifted pertaining to the calling. (I Cor. 12:28)

  1. We believe the second coming of Christ includes a catching away (rapture) of the Church (saints) followed by the actual, visible return of Christ with His saints to reign with Him on the earth for thousand years.  (I Thess. 4:16.17, Rev. 1:7, Rev. 19:11)

  1. There will be a final judgment in which the wicked dead will be raised and judged according to their works.

  1. Sanctification is a definite yet progressive work of grace, as taught in scriptures, which leads to holiness, (Romans 6:22)

  1. We believe Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, very God and very man.

  1. We believe in spiritual unity of believers in the Lord Jesus Christ.

  1. We believe in the total depravity of man through the fall and inability to attain divine righteousness apart from God.

  1. We believe the ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a Godly life in victory
